The Energy Efficiency Lab - UFBA
The Energy Efficiency Lab (LABEFEA) was founded in 2006 by Dr. Caiuby Alves da Costa, Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at UFBA.
The lab was established in conjunction with Eletrobrás. Currently, we are particularly interested in applying power electronics technology to transform the traditional passive electrical
grid system in an active one.
LABEFEA conducts research in the fields of distributed generation, power electronics systems and power management of microgrids.
LABEFEA is involved in projects for undergraduate and graduate students in Electrical Engineering.
The main objective is to build a high quality program in Power Electronics for Power Systems.
